SCULPTURE WINNER SELECTED
Grove City Arts Council partnered with Grove City’s Department of Parks and Recreation to sponsor a public sculpture contest at the 2016 EcoFest. The contest was the kick off of the Council’s objective to start a public art program that results in sculptures throughout Grove City’s parks. Ken Valimaki of Pickerington won $1000 and the distinction of having his sculpture of two stylized dogs installed in Breck Community Park. The park is designed for dog owners and their pets.
The Arts Council currently is raising funds to build the sculpture through its GoFundMe page. Donations can be made by accessing the internet and clicking the link gofundme.com/art-in-the-park-project or going to www.gofundme.com and searching Grove City Arts Council. Checks can also be mailed to Grove City Arts Council, 3378 Park Street, Suite E, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Donations are tax deductible.
